Ponting Set for Surrey

Surrey have signed former Australia Captain Ricky Ponting on a two month deal

Ponting played his last test for Australia in december las year and has scored 27, 483 runs for his contry across all formats, notching up 71 centuries in a golden era of Australian cricket.
In his most recent appearance for Tasmania, he hit an unbeaten 200 and is also due to represent the Mubain Indians in the upcoming IPL. Speaking this week Ponting said I am really excited to be playing for Surrey this season. They are a forward thinking and historic club and play at one of the greatest gounds in the world. it has not been the friendliest place for me but now it will be my home for two months this summer. I dont like to think i can contribute a significant amount to the club on and off the field and am looking forward to getting stuck in as soon as I arrive.
 Surrey team director Chris Adams added we knew we would lose Graeme to the ICC Champions Trophy in June. THat given we focused on recruting the best possible replacement and in Ricky Ponting, we have signed one of the greatest batsmen of the modern era.

Mumbai Indian New Captain Ricky Ponting


Mumbai Indians have appointed former Australia captain Ricky Ponting as their captain for the sixth ediition of IPL, which starts from 3rd, April 2013. Ponting, who retired from international cricket at the end of 2012 was bought at the base price of $400,000 during the player auction earlier this month.

28 balls with six boundaries, but his dismissal took the sting out of the kings chase. from 50 for 1 the powerplay they were reduced to 70 for 5 at the end of ten overs.

Shahid Khan Afridi is Recall for T20 & ODI against South Africa

Former Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi is likely to be recalled to the one day squard for the forthcoming series against South Africa. Premier League Chelsea Too Good For Brentford in FA CUP
